FanFic: Fall of the Sith Chapter 6: Epilogue

So I have no idea how I forgot to post the epilogue to this FanFic with the rest of the story. Anyways, this is the short epilogue of Fall of the Sith. Enjoy!

Thousands of Jedi and civilians lined the streets of Coruscant the evening after the battle on Rakata Prime to pay their respects to Vulcan Gunner. His casket was led by a group of horses supporting it while Solin and Sabe' acted as pallbearers for extra support of the casket. Vulcan was dressed in Jedi robes with the hood raised on his head. The casket gave the impression that Vulcan was drowning within it. His robes were fanned out apporiately to continue the illusion that he was drowning. In his hands, Vulcan carried the lightsaber given to him by his best friend and brother so many years before.

The majority of the attendants watched along the side of the street as the casket was taken from the church were the funeral was held to the gardens of the Jedi Temple, a track of about a mile. They had been told they were attending the funeral of Jedi who had fallen but was ultimately redeemed by his best friend and that he was being given a hero's funeral. The Jedi had said he deserved this kind of funeral because by being redeemed, he prevented another war like the one so recently ended by the Separtists and had helped the Republic avoid a period of darkness. The citizens watched somberly as the procession following the casket passed in front of them.

Leading the group was the group of five Jedi who had accompanied Solin and Sabe' on the mission to Rakata Prime. All of them had the hoods of their cloaks up in respect to Vulcan. Following them were members of Solin and Vulcan's families; their parents, siblings, and various other relatives. After the family, Chancellor Nvled Jear, dressed in white robes of supreme elegance and Captain Menousek, dressed in robes of black, rivaling those of her former mentor Mobbs, led members of the Senate through the procession. Finally, the rest of the Jedi who had been spread throughout the galaxy during the assault on the Temple made up the rest of the procession.

Once they reached the Jedi Temple, which was under reconstruction following the attack on it, Solin and Sabe' led the procession to the gardens outside the council chambers. As soon as everybody was settled into the garden, Solin raised his hand and slowly lifted Vulcan's casket from the ground. Solin then guided the casket into the ground where a hole had been already made where Vulcan would be put to rest. As he guided the casket down, the casket closed and sealed Vulcan behind it. After a few moments, the casket was buried in the ground and Sabe' took over the covering of it. Solin stepped back and watched Sabe' use the Force slowly to cover Vulcan's casket, tears streaming down his face. Once Sabe' was done, he stepped back and stood next to Solin. Together, as one, hundreds of lightsabers suddenly ignited. Blue, green, violet, orange, yellow, gold, and other color blades suddenly lit the gardens around them. Following Solin's lead, each of the Jedi lifted their lightsaber in tribute to their fallen hero...

The day after Vulcan was laid to rest, a ceremony was held to recognize each of the Jedi that had successfully ended the war and virtually wiped out the Sith on Rakata Prime. All six of them were awarded the Cross of Glory, the highest honor the Republic can bestow. In addition to awarding the Jedi, Chancellor Jear made some announcements about the future of both the Senate and the Jedi Order. Bazila Trebreh, a human female that had originally served as a guard in the Senate, had been found to have Force potential and had already given some powers. Now that she has returned to Coruscant, the woman who discovered her potential, Elocin Trahkrik, would take her as her personal apprentice. Y'not Yorbn, Bazila's partner, was going to be taken as Ngema Resor's apprentice. Ngema had also been named as a Jedi Knight, meaning that her training as a Jedi was complete. Her master, Keira Port, was now promoted to the role of Jedi Master and was given a seat on the Jedi Council. Keira's master, Solin Malice, was given something not even he dreamed he would get. Solin had been through a lot during his time as a Jedi: he had discovered that his once best friend had created the Sith, the most deadly form of Dark Jedi in existence; he had successfully helped retake Naboo when the Malastarian Separtists had blockaded and invaded it; he went after the Sith himself, alone, on Malachor V and had been turned into one of them by Vulcan, who had prayed on his weaknesses in order to turn him; he had led the assault on the Jedi Temple after it was discovered that he had falled to the Dark Side; he was redeemed shortly after the assault on the Temple by his former master, his former apprentice, and his apprentice's own pupil; he helped arrest Senator Mobbs who, it turned out, had been the Sith Lord known as Xantos Inte' and was Vulcan's own apprentice; he then lead the rest of his party to Rakata Prime where the Sith and Separtists were held up; finally, he sacrificed himself to be taken away by his old friend Vulcan in an attempt to distract his friend and any surviving Sith from the battle that had taken place on Rakata Prime and succeeded in redeeming Vulcan shortly before his death. Because of all he had done during his time as a Jedi, Solin was promoted to Grand Master of the Jedi Order. With this title, Solin now had direct command over the entire Jedi Order and was considered the most powerful of all the Jedi. Solin announced that he would rebuild the Jedi Order and with the help of the citizens, make the Republic stronger than it had ever been before. Chancellor Jear then revealed that he was retiring from politics at the end of his term, stating that he wished to return to his original roots as a Jedi Knight, a revelation that shocked the majority of the people attending the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over, Solin led the way back to the Jedi Temple, knowing that all was well for him and the rest of the Jedi...

Revenge

This is a short story about a man seeking revenge on his mortal enemy after twenty years that a friend asked me to write. Enjoy!

Alejandro Cortez snuck into the mansion of his mortal enemy, Rafael Montero. Twenty years before, Montero had killed Cortez's best friend, Jaren, in an attempt to draw out Cortez, whom had worked for Montero before and was believed to be the spy that brought about Montero's downfall. Cortez swore revenge on Montero before he was captured by Montero's men who held him prisoner for twenty years before he escaped, having learned that Montero had returned to California.

Montero had long believed that Cortez had perished in prison and expected to hear nothing about him for the rest of his life. As he met with his security chief, Captain Harrison Love, he walked to a part of the room where Cortez hid himself in the shadows.

"I said I'll find him," Love was saying. "That means I will."

As Love finished speaking, Montero was walking directly in front of where Cortez was hiding. Seeing his advantage, Cortez drew his sword and pointed it at Montero's throat.

"Perhaps I can save you the trouble," he said.

Seeing that Montero had a sword to his throat, Captain Love made to grab his gun. Before he could fully draw it though, Cortez yelled at him, "Go on, reach for it, Captain!" Love hesitated, sensing that he would not be able to move fast enough.

"Who are you?" Montero asked.

"I warned you long ago, Rafael, you would never be rid of me."

Montero was suddenly hit with a realization. He hadn't heard that voice in twenty years and recognized it at once. "Cortez?"

Cortez stepped out of the shadows and stared into the eyes of his enemy. "Rafael," he said in acknowledgment.

"So, my men lied to me in order to protect you. They told me you were dead."

"I imagine it must have been difficult for them to keep track of who had been killed and who hadn't. They couldn't remember whether or not they had killed me so of course they told you that I was dead."

"Either way, it's of little consequence. Events have been set in motion which you cannot stop."

"I'm not here to stop you."

"Then what do you want?"

Cortez paused before answering. "You cannot imagine, Rafael, how I have dreamed of this moment, night and day, twenty long years. I'm here to take my revenge on you for taking my best friend away from me."

"Really? I haven't given you or Jaren a second thought. If I die, Cortez, the truth dies with me about what happened."

"We shall see," Cortez replied before taking his sword away from Montero's throat. He then turned to Captain Love. "Harrison, I see you're still working for Montero. Tell me, are you only working for Rafael this time, or are you still passing information to the authorities like last time?"

"What are you talking about, Cortez?" Rafael demanded.

"Well you see, Rafael, your most trusted advisor was the one who betrayed you, not me. You knew you could trust Love here for anything and he told you that I was the one who betrayed us. In reality, it was him. Love was working with the authorities the whole time and I imagine he still is."

Flushed by anger, Rafael drew his sword and threw it at Love. The sword impaled him the chest, killing him. Rafael then grabbed his sword out of Love and turned to Cortez, who was wearing a smile of satisfaction.

"Let us finish it, Rafael," he said. "Let us finish what we started, the night Jaren died."

With that, Rafael leaped forward and attacked Cortez. Cortez blocked his attack and pushed his enemy back. The two fought for some time, neither able to gain an advantage. At some point, Cortez lost his sword and was unable to reach it. As a result, he was forced to fight only with his hands.

Eventually, Rafael began to wear down. After missing Cortez, he raised his sword to strike down upon Cortez, which created an opening. Seeing the opening, Cortez punched Rafael in the stomach, distracting him long enough for Cortez to reach for his sword. He punched Rafael's elbow, releasing the sword Rafael was using. Cortez caught it and then lunged the sword through Montero's chest. Montero suddenly stopped as the pain within him registered. Cortez glared at his enemy as Montero collapsed to his feet, knowing that Jaren's death had been avenged.

Princess Kaili

This is a story about a princess that I wrote for a friend. Enjoy!

Kaili the Princess sat in her dressing room, preparing herself for the big ball. Her parents, the King and Queen, were throwing this ball in celebration of Princess Kaili's 18th birthday.

As she prepared herself, her appearance transformed completely. Her hair, jet black, was put up in a manner never before thought possible. Her makeup glorified her beauty. Her black dress would make her stand out to those at the ball and would announce her presence. And then, there were her eyes.

If any of the guests were to stare at her eyes for too long, they would become transfixed by them. Her eyes would capture the attention of anyone and would make them see her for who she is, not what she had done.

Once she was done, Princess Kaili looked at herself in the mirror. As she looked at herself, she realized that no matter what anybody ever told her, she was beautiful, inside and out. Princess Kaili then turned around and slowly walked toward the door that would lead her to the stairs to take her down to the ball. She turned the doorknob and sighed heavily. Kaili the princess then opened the door and stepped not only into a celebration, but to a new chapter in her life.

Hope

This is a poem about Hope that I wrote about for a friend. Enjoy!

What do you do when something causes you to lose all hope? You feel as if everything is lost in your life and you can't go on. The feeling of despair is darker than space and the light of hope is fainter than the faintest star.

You feel as if you can't go on. Your life is almost meaningless and there seems to be no way out. Fear has clouded your judgment. There is no chance of moving on.

But then you stop. You realize that whatever caused you to lose hope will make you stronger. Hope will come back to your life and will help make everything better.

Halloween

This is a Halloween Short Story my dad requested that I write. Enjoy!

Halloween night, 2008. It had been thirty years since a mass murderer had begun a killing spree on Halloween night. Every year for ten years, the killer took one victim on Halloween night in and around Haddonfield, New Jersey. After each murder, the killer would send graphic letters to the police and media detailing how they had carried out each of the murders and their plans for additional killings. But after ten years, it all stopped. No more murders, no more letters. It seemed as if though the killer had either given up, was dead, or maybe had been captured.

However, thirty years to the day of the first murder, the police received a call from the local newspaper claiming a letter had been sent from the Halloween Killer. A detective, Sam Loomis, went to the newspaper to investigate the contents of the letter. The letter indeed proved to be from the killer, the writing style was the exact same as previous letters and was signed with the murderer's authentic signature. The letter also came with a photo of a man who appeared to be in his late fifties with a caption on the back saying that the man in the picture was the killer and he intended to strike again. Loomis deduced the killer would strike again that night and would expect to be captured or killed.

As he walked around the neighborhood where the majority of the murders had taken place, Loomis spotted two children, a boy and a girl, running out of a house, screaming. Loomis ran up to them and gestured them to him.

"Guys, over here! What happened?"

"He's trying to kill Laurie! He's trying to kill Laurie!" the boy shouted. The girl seemed too frightened to speak.

"Who is it?" Loomis cried.

"It's the Halloween Killer. He said that Laurie is the next person on his hit list!"

"Stay here, you two!" Loomis shouted. He pulled out his cell phone and gave it to the boy. "Take this cell phone and call the police. Tell them that Detective Loomis has located the killer and is going to try and take him down."

With that, Loomis ran into the house where the children had come running out. Once inside, he heard a scream coming from upstairs. Loomis ran up the stairs and stopped at the top, looking around for the source of the screaming. In the room closest to him, he saw a figure wearing a white mask trying to strangle a woman. Loomis assumed that this was Laurie and had to act quickly. Before he could however, the woman unmasked the figure. The figure pushed the woman back in order to put his mask back on. His head moved into the light shining through the window and in the split second that he saw his face, Loomis recognized him as the man in picture that was in the letter.

Loomis quickly reached into his pocket, pulled out his gun, and shot at the man. The man stumbled backward and remained standing, his breathing was quickening through the mask. Loomis ran into the room and stood in front of the figure in a combat stance, pointing his gun at the killer. The killer then made to move toward him and Loomis fired again. He had fired six shots before the killer fell backward off the balcony in the bedroom. Loomis heard the killer land on the ground outside with a thud.

Loomis then pulled his trigger again just in case and realized he was out of bullets. Beside him on the ground, the woman sat, crying and uncovering her ears.

"Who are you?" she asked.

Loomis lowered his gun and turned to face her. "Detective Sam Loomis. Are you Laurie?"

"Yes. Was that the Halloween Killer?"

"As a matter of fact, it was."

Pull Me Down

This is a song/poem that I wrote when I got bored in my Community Service class yesterday. It is meant to be from the perspective from someone who is fed up with someone else in their life criticizing their every move and they wake up to the fact that the only way to deal with it is to just move on. Enjoy!

You're judging me, like always
Everything I do is wrong in your eyes
All you do is criticize me
What the hell do you think is wrong with me?

I'm not gonna listen to you
Calling me out
And I won't let you pull me down
(Pull me down)

All you've ever done is yell at me
How am I supposed to do what you want when all you do is scream?
If you keep it up, I'll never respond

I'm not gonna listen to you
Calling me out
And I won't let you pull me down
(Pull me down)

I'm done with you
You can keep yelling at me, but I won't hear you
Don't try to apologize for what you've done
Nothing you say or do can fix you

I'm done listening to you
Calling me out
You will never pull me down
Pull me down

Unorthodox

This is a companion (not so much a sequel) to "Betrayal" and "Revelations" continuing the story of Detective Benson and Detective Scott. Enjoy!

Five years after being betrayed by his partner, Tobias Jones, Detective Elliot Benson entered Sheriff Hank Keough's office with his partner Detective Olivia Scott. Keough had called them in to his office to explain the events surrounding a rape/homicide that had occurred in the middle of the night the night before.

"What have you got?" Benson asked.

"Victim is a 29-year-old male," Keough replied. "He was a lawyer who had just started at a law firm. His social life implies that he was homosexual which would make since because the person who raped him was male. Cause of death appears to be strangulation."

"Got any names for possible male prostitutes?"

"None, I figured you two could go out and ask some of the local slime if they know anything."

Benson and Scott left Keough's office and headed to the slums of Miami where prostitutes could be found, even in broad daylight. As they searched around, Scott spotted a female who was dressed in a way meant to show off her body.

"Got one," she said, pointing to the woman.

The two approached the woman. She spotted them and made to turn away, as if she knew they were cops.

"Hold it! We're not with Vice!" Benson shouted to the woman. "We're detectives with the Special Victims Unit. We need your help looking for a suspect."

The woman stopped and turned to talk to the detectives.

"I'm Detective Benson and this is my partner Detective Scott. Can you tell us if there are many males working in the business?"

"Very few, I can only think of five or six."

"Any of them gay?" Scott asked.

"One. I don't know his name, but he calls himself FG."

"FG?"

"It means 'Fabulous Gigolo.'"

"So he is a gay male prostitute. Thank you very much," Benson said.

For the rest of the afternoon, the detectives questioned other women in the area. They all had similar answers, there were very few male prostitutes working in Miami and only FG was a homosexual. One of the women gave a name, Al Redfield. After questioning a dozen or so women, Benson and Scott returned to the Police Department. They presented Keough with the information they found.

"Well, I think given the fact that a dozen prostitutes only named one gay male prostitute, I think that she be enough to obtain a warrant. Find out where this Redfield lives and be prepared to take him down.

________________________________________________________________________

The next afternoon, Benson and Scott arrived at the apartment of Al Redfield with the three other officers. They walked up the stairs to Redfield's level and once they reached his apartment, they got out their guns. After reaching for his gun, Benson slammed on the door of Redfield's apartment.

"Redfield! Police! Open up!" he shouted.

When they got no response, Benson nodded at one of the officers who used an object to break down the door. The officers raced inside and pointed their guns at locations in the apartment, making sure rooms were clear. Benson and Scott made their way to the bedroom. When they walked in, a man screamed effeminately and stood up from the side of his bed, his hands raised.

"Why did you break into my house?" he asked in a squeaky voice.

"Albert Redfield?" Benson asked.

"Yes, what's going on?"

Benson raced forward, roughly turned Redfield around and put handcuffs on him.

"Redfield, you are under arrest for rape and murder."

"What?" cried Redfield. "I didn't kill anyone!"

"Sure you didn't," Scott said as Benson helped Redfield up, having cuffed him. "We just found a dead body raped by a man in an area where prostitution is common and several women told us you were the only gay male prostitute currently working."

The two detectives escorted Redfield out of the building, put him in their car, and drove him to the police station. Once at the station, they put him in the interrogation room and sat down to question him.

"Okay Redfield, you are the one responsible for the rape and murder of 29-year-old Stephen Gutierrez. Did you know this man?" Scott asked, pulling out a picture of the victim.

Redfield hesitated before breaking down into tears.

"Steve was one of my regulars!" he cried. "I thought we were going to start dating. We met together last night and he decided to break it off with me completely, he wanted nothing to do with me. I got angry. I knocked him unconscious and took him to my bosses' apartment. She told me that she would punish him but if I wanted him one last time, I could. So I took his unconscious body and had sex with it. He regained consciousness halfway through and tried to scream. My boss slapped him across the head and put a gag in his mouth. I finished and then she grabbed a gun and killed him. She dumped his body in the place where you found it."

After confessing, Redfield sat crying. Benson waited for him to control himself before continuing questioning.

"Mr. Redfield, who is the woman you work for?"

"Her name is Excella Valentine. You won't be able to find her though. The only way you can find her is if you talk to her boyfriend, who is also in the business."

"Describe the boyfriend."

"He's about 5' 1". Much shorter than her. His name is Bobby Goodwin."

"Thank you, Mr. Redfield." Benson said. He and Scott then left and presented their findings to Keough.

"Okay, run a background check on this Bobby Goodwin, find out where he lives, and I'll get a warrant."

________________________________________________________________________

That evening, Benson and Scott arrived at Bobby Goodwin's house and banged on the door, demanding access. They got no response, so they split up to find another way in. Scott got in through the back door that was unlocked while Benson got in through an open window. The detectives met up in a hallway and searched around for Goodwin. They found him in his bedroom, fast asleep.

"Mr. Goodwin, wake up," Scott said, shaking him awake. Goodwin stood up and Benson pinned him to a wall, taking out his handcuffs and putting them on Goodwin.

"Who are you people?" Goodwin demanded.

"We sex crime detectives," Scott explained. "We have a warrant to take you in for questioning to locate your girlfriend, Excella Valentine."

The two of them led Goodwin out of the house and took him down to the station. They put him in the interrogation room and began questioning him.

"Do you know where Excella is, Mr. Goodwin?" Scott asked.

"No. And what the hell does she have to do with this?" Goodwin demanded.

"Your girlfriend faces charges of murder. She killed 29-year-old Stephen Gutierrez after allowing FG to have sex with his unconscious body."

Goodwin sighed. "I knew that she killed him. She called me and told me what happened after she hid the body."

"Do you have a cell phone?" Benson asked.

"Yeah, I have it with me here in my pocket."

"Hand it over to me."

Goodwin took his phone out of his pocket and handed it over to Benson who took it and brought it to Keough's office while Scott remained with Goodwin.

"Mr. Goodwin, we are going to trace your last call to Excella and obtain a warrant to arrest her. You realize that she will likely face a life-term in prison as well as yourself for male prostitution?"

"Yes, I understand that."

"However, we may be able to grant you some immunity to lessen your sentence if you agree to testify against your girlfriend. Are you prepared to testify against Excella?"

"Absolutely. If it means I can get a lesser sentence, I'll make sure to help put her away."

________________________________________________________________________

The next morning, Benson and Scott arrived with a team of officers at the abandoned tenements where Goodwin's phone traced his last call to Excella. They breached the entrance and searched the building for Valentine. Benson and Scott eventually found her in a room that had a mattress on the floor. When Valentine saw Benson and Scott enter the room with their weapons drawn, she jumped off her bed and ran for the kitchen area where she grabbed a gun. Quickly, and without thinking about it, Benson shot at Valentine's hand as she raised her gun. The gun was shot out of Valentine's hand while her hand remained uninjured. Before she could take off, two more officers entered the room and ran up to her, knocking her down and cuffing her.

The officers stood Valentine back up and walked her over to Benson and Scott. She was a very tall and muscular woman, she stood at about 5' 9". If she were seen standing next to her boyfriend, he would dwarf her by a large margin. As the officers brought her by Benson and Scott, Benson explained her situation.

"Excella Valentine, you are under arrest for the murder of Stephen Gutierrez." He then explained her rights as she began laughing. Once finished speaking, Benson asked her a question. "What is so funny?"

"Well, I am one crazy bitch!" she exclaimed gleefully.

________________________________________________________________________

A year later, Valentine was handed her sentence in court. She was sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiracy to commit murder. Her boyfriend, Goodwin, testified against her and as a result, granting him some immunity for his involvement with prostitution.  Goodwin was handed a ten-year jail sentence and was required to undergo therapy during his imprisonment. Redfield was found not guilty by reason of insanity and was sentenced to spend at least five years in a rehabilitation center after which his case would be reexamined. As for Benson and Scott, they continued their jobs, becoming Top Elite Detectives of the Special Victims Unit of Miami. This new authority gave them both direct command over the SVU. Because of their dedication to the cause, the SVU of Miami was able to takedown several criminals and crime empires throughout the state of Florida. Everything was as it should be.

Revelations

This is a sequel to "Betrayal" where Detective Benson uncovers his former partner's past. Enjoy!

A week after discovering that his partner had been the ringleader in a plot to kill a woman in the Miami area, Detective Elliot Benson returned to work at the Miami Police Department, having spent the last week in the hospital recovering from being shot in the knee. Benson limped on his cane into Sheriff Hank Keough's office, where Keough and Detective Olivia Scott sat waiting for him. Benson sat down and Keough spoke.

"While you were in the hospital, we did interviews with Calita and Jericho after they were patched up," Keough said.

"And?" Benson replied.

"We found out that Jericho wasn't the ringleader of his crime empire. It turns out that he was the lieutenant of the leader and he did the majority of the crime lord's dirty work."

"Who is the crime lord?"

"Solomon Caine," Keough said. "Now, I want you on this case Benson and I'm assigning Olivia here to be your partner."

"Very well. Let's get to work Scott."

For the rest of the day, Benson and Scott did research on Solomon Caine. They questioned Jericho and Calita who both revealed that Caine's empire was based in Los Angeles. In addition, Calita heavily implied that Jones was somehow closely linked and possibly related to Caine. Benson contacted the LAPD and spoke with Detective Mark Kincaid, who was in charge of the investigation there and gave Kincaid details relating to Caine's whereabouts. Kincaid thanked him and informed Benson that the information was sufficient enough for them to locate Caine and take him down once they were done talking. After getting off the phone with Kincaid, Benson and Scott presented their findings to Keough.

"Well done, you two," Keough said when they had finished explaining everything they found out about Caine. "I think the two of you should travel to LA first thing tomorrow morning and see if you can get some answers from Caine himself."

________________________________________________________________________

The following morning, Benson and Scott boarded the first flight out of Miami for LA. They arrived at 9 AM local time and headed to the LAPD. Once inside, they asked for Kincaid and were led into his office.

"Thanks to you Detective Benson, we were able to locate Caine's headquarters and successfully takedown every person who was in the building, including Caine himself," Kincaid explained once Benson and Scott sat down at his desk. "He has not yet been questioned. Would you like to speak with him yourself?"

"Absolutely," replied Benson.

All three of them stood up and Kincaid led them to the interrogating room where Benson and Scott waited for Kincaid to return with Caine. After a few minutes, Kincaid escorted Caine into the room. Caine looked like the typical criminal: bald head, arms covered in tattoos, a muscular build, his face looking as though it hadn't been shaved in weeks and the like. Kincaid sat Caine down in front of Benson and Scott.

"Solomon Caine, I'm Detective Benson, this is my partner Detective Scott, we are with the Miami PD," Benson said.

"Benson. Isn't that Jones' partner?"

"How do you know Tobias Jones?"

"Jones was a good friend of mine. He was my most trusted adviser back in France where I started my business," Caine explained. "When I came here, he decided to go undercover for me when we arrived in Florida and trained to be a police officer. I told him to stay there so he could keep an eye on Jericho for me. I trusted Jericho too, but I had suspicions that he would betray me."

"Why did you think he would betray you?" Scott asked.

"He became more distant with me once we arrived here. I think he had plans to take me out with Calita and then take over the business."

"Do you know who the woman is that Jones had killed?"

"Some bitch that Jones, Baccus, Jericho and I all dated at some point or another. She cheated on every one of us. I got over it pretty easily. Baccus and Jericho did too. But I think Jones was pushed over the edge because he thought she had really changed. When he found out that she had cheated on him, he called and told me what had happened. He said that he was going to contact Jericho and find out if it was the same woman we all had dated. After they killed her, Jones told me what had happened and that he had plans to frame his partner, Benson. I told him that was no chance he could do that and he told me to watch him."

"And was that the last time you spoke to him?"

"Yes," Caine replied. "Did he try framing you then?"

"He had no chance," Benson said. "I arrived to arrest Jericho after taking down Baccus and then Jones and Calita revealed themselves to me and explained everything except the fact that they all worked for you. Sheriff Keough and Scott here arrived in time to shoot Calita and Jericho, enough only to put them out of commission, before Jones recovered and shot me in the knee. I then grabbed my gun and shot him three times in the chest. He died almost instantly."

"I'm sorry to hear it. But it doesn't really matter now that you've all caught everyone in my empire. We were dying anyway and I was looking to get out of the business altogether and move on."

Benson and Scott then thanked Kincaid for allowing them to speak with Caine and left the department. They caught the next flight back to Miami and discussed what they had learned from Caine.

"You think he still had feelings for the girl?" asked Benson.

"I could tell that he does," replied Scott. "He also cared deeply for Jones. Maybe that is why he decided to get out of the business he was in. He probably realized that he cared too much about the people involved with it that he decided it was time for him to get out of it."

"Hopefully that will be enough to get him less time in prison than the rest of his crew since he was planning to move on with his life and start anew."

"Maybe. I know that the ones we have will definitely get a life sentence at least."

"And they'll deserve it. Caine wouldn't though because he wasn't a murderer. I could tell by the look on his face. We just have to wait and see."

________________________________________________________________________

A month after finding out everything Benson and Scott could about the case, Caine was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for leading a crime faction. Back in Miami, Jericho, Calita, and Baccus were given life sentences. They would remain in prison, with the knowledge that they had murdered an innocent victim, forever. Meanwhile, Benson and Scott had moved on with their careers as detectives, remaining partners for quite some time and soon became the dynamic duo, successfully capturing hundreds of criminals and wiping out dozens of crime waves. All was well.

Betrayal

This is a story about two detectives for a Special Victims Unit who investigate a case where something is revealed about one of the detectives. Enjoy!

Detective Elliot Benson and his partner, Tobias Jones, left the Miami Police Department in their vehicle, following orders from Sheriff Hank Keough for all available officers to be dispatched downtown. The police had received word that a murder had taken place in an old rundown apartment building. Benson drove himself and Jones in their SUV to the scene of the murder. Once they arrived, paramedics were carrying the body out of the apartment. The detectives approached them and showed their badges for identification.

"Detective Benson, Miami Police Department. My partner, Detective Jones," Benson said. "We're with the Special Victims Unit, can you tell us what happened?"

"There is evidence of a break-in," one of the paramedics answered. "Seems like the victim was raped and then severely beat to death."

"Any witnesses?" Benson asked.

"One. A ten-year-old boy named John said he saw two men enter the house and one woman driving a getaway car. He's over there," the paramedic replied, pointing at a boy, who was standing nearby."

"Okay, Jones, I got the witness, you handle everything else," Benson said. Jones nodded and led the paramedics to their vehicle. Benson then walked over to John. "John, I'm Detective Benson with the Miami Police Department, can you come with me to the station so you can tell me what you saw?"

"Where's my mom? That paramedic guy said she would be here!"

"We will get a hold of your mom, John and she will come and get you at the station. Can you come with me, please?"

John nodded and Benson led him to the SUV. They got in and Benson drove them back to the station, knowing Jones could get a ride from any of the other officers. Fifteen minutes later, they reached the station and Benson led John inside and sat him down in the questioning room. Benson turned on the recorder in the room at sat down.

"Okay John, how far away do you live from the house where the murder took place?"

"About a half mile," John replied. "My mom sent me to the grocery store and I was on my way there when I saw them leaving the house."

"Who were they? Did you recognize them?"

"I don't know who they were. There were two guys, one of them was wearing a long black coat and had sunglasses on. The other one was this guy who I knew."

"Who was it?"

"One of my mom's ex-boyfriends. He was not much of a guy. He had a really crappy job and I think he was a drug user, the way he acted all the time."

"John, what is his name? If you can give me his name, I can make sure that he is arrested and will stay in jail for a long time."

John hesitated for a moment before replying. "Baccus…. his name is Baccus."

"Is Baccus his first or last name?"

"His last name. His first name is John, but he always told me to call him Baccus."

"I know exactly who you are talking about John. And don't worry, I will find him and I will put him away for a very long time. He won't be able to hurt anyone else. Who was the third person?"

"I don't know, but I could tell that it was a woman based on her shadow."

With that, Benson turned off the recorder and led John to his office, where he left the boy, telling him that the rest of the department would soon return and that he was going to contact John's mother.

While Benson was calling John's mother, the rest of the dispatched officers gradually returned to the office. Jones arrived as soon as Benson got off the phone.

"The boy's mother is on his way." Jones nodded. "He also identified one of the perps and gave us a description of the other two. The driver he said was a woman but he couldn't really see her. The man accompanying the one he identified was wearing a long black coat, probably a trench coat, and was wearing sunglasses."

"That's a lot to go off of." Jones snapped. "Who is the one he identified?"

"John Baccus, he's that guy we got last year for a bank robbery and he served only six months.

"Good, at least we have something. I'll obtain a warrant from Keough and we'll see about taking Baccus down."

________________________________________________________________________

The following day, Benson and Jones, and a team of officers and SWAT units headed out to arrest Baccus. They had run a background check and found that Baccus was still living and working in the same locations he had when they had arrested him previously. They knew his route to work inside and out and decided to take him down at a stop in his neighborhood while he returned to work from lunch. When they had converged on Baccus' location, the group split up.
Two police cars would pull up behind Baccus, making it seem as though he were being pulled over in a routine traffic stop. Within five seconds, the rest of the party was to pull up to the location and block off any means of escape with their vehicles. Once the plan was finalized, the group waited for the two police cars' signal.

After about a minute of waiting, the rest of the team heard the two police cars sound their sirens and brakes screech to a halt. Five seconds later, the SWAT van slammed on its brakes in front of Baccus' vehicle. Barely a moment later, Benson drove the SVU to a stop, blocking off a side escape. As the SWAT unit jumped out of their vehicle and ran toward Baccus with their weapons drawn, Benson and Jones loaded their weapons. As he opened the door, Benson heard one of the SWAT officers shout, "Stay in the car! Stay in the car!" Benson and Jones then exited their vehicle, their weapons drawn and made their way over to Baccus' van.

"Don't move!" shouted Benson as he sprinted toward the van. Inside, he saw Baccus with his hands raised, his facial expression puzzled. Benson approached the side of the van and opened the driver's door. He kept his gun pointed at Baccus' head and he gave his commands. "Out of the car. Out of the vehicle," he snapped, grabbing Baccus by the arm and pulling him out. "On the ground, now!" Baccus slowly got to the ground, his arms still raised. "Cuff him!" Benson shouted to the officers.

One of the officers who had pulled up behind Baccus took out his handcuffs and put them on Baccus. The officer then helped him up and searched him for weapons while Baccus glared at Benson in recognition.

"Hello, Detective Benson," he growled.

"Baccus, do you know why you're being arrested?" Benson asked.

"Oh, I have suspicions, why?"

Benson and Baccus stared at each other for a few seconds before Benson spoke to one of the other officers. "Get him in the car."

The officer who had cuffed Baccus and another led him to their vehicle while Benson dismissed the SWAT unit.

"Nicely done, gentlemen. That will be all, thank you for your help. Well done."

________________________________________________________________________

That afternoon and into the evening, Baccus described, in detail, exactly what had transpired at the home of the murder victim. He and a crime lord that he worked for, Jericho, broke into the home of the woman, who was an ex-girlfriend of Baccus. While Jericho held the victim down, Baccus raped her at gunpoint. When he was finished, they both beat her to death and left the scene with a woman named Calita, head of a gang known as South Beach, based out of Tallahassee. Baccus told Benson and Jones exactly where they could find both Jericho and Calita; saying that they had planned to be captured quickly. Jericho was hidden at a warehouse in Tampa while Calita was held up in her apartment in Tallahassee.

After listening to Baccus confess, Benson and Jones told Keough everything Baccus had told them. Keough then ordered the two of them to split up and go after Jericho and Calita individually. Jones would go alone after Calita, who wasn't a threat to him because in the past, she often accepted that she was being arrested. Benson would travel to the warehouse in Tampa with Keough and Detective Olivia Scott would go along as backup. Benson would need backup because Jericho was a dangerous crime lord who had a reputation for killing without giving his victims a chance.

Benson traveled alone to the warehouse in Tampa while Keough and Scott followed him. It was decided that Benson would approach Jericho wearing a wire in case he needed immediate assistance. Benson entered the warehouse and searched around for Jericho. He found Jericho, dressed in a black trench coat, wearing sunglasses, sitting and apparently waiting for him in the office of the manager of the warehouse. Benson drew his gun and pointed it at Jericho.

"Jericho, you are under arrest for murder in Miami," Benson declared.

Jericho laughed. "Go ahead and arrest me, Benson. But what will you do about your partner?"

"What are you talking about?"

Suddenly, the back entrance of the office opened up and Jones entered the room, followed closely by Calita, both of whom were pointing guns at Benson.

"Drop the gun, Benson."

Benson did so. "So, you were in this with them, Jones?"

Jones laughed. "Yes I was. I was the mastermind behind it. That woman who was killed, she was an ex of mine. She was such a bitch; she cheated on me for months while we dated. When I found out, I was livid. I broke it off with her and found Jericho. He told me that the same thing had happened to a buddy of his, Baccus. I decided that the bitch didn't deserve to live any more so we hired Baccus and Calita, Jericho's current girlfriend, to make sure that she would be killed. I told them I would use my status as a police officer to clear their names for the murder and be able to pin it on you."

"I see, and what did you plan on doing to me?"

"Kill you."

Benson smiled. "You find something funny, Benson?" Jones snapped.

"Yeah, you won't be able to kill me."

"You plan on stopping us?"

"Not me…them." Benson said, nodding his head behind Jones and Calita. Jones and Calita turned around and saw Keough and Scott standing in the back doorway, their weapons drawn. Before any of them could react, Keough shot Calita in the arm and Scott shot Jericho in the leg, knocking both of them to their feet. Jones quickly recovered and turned his attention back to Benson and shot him in the knee. Benson fell to the ground, not severely injured, grabbed his gun and fired three shots at Jones, who slowly fell over, dead.

My Immortal (FanFic)

This is a FanFic I wrote for the novel The Catcher in the Rye. It is basically Holden Caulfield's thoughts, with the main focus of his thoughts being about his brother Allie, to the tune of the Evanescence song "My Immortal." Some of his thoughts are before Allie dies (which isn't seen in the novel and I kind of make that scene in the writing) and immiediately after Allie has passed away. Enjoy!

I'm so tired of being here. Suppressed by all my childish fears.

All of these goddamn phonies need to get the hell out of my life! All they do is kill you, they really do. They just make up stuff about themselves to make them look better; none of it is actually true. Why do people have to change into phonies; why can't people just stay the same and be the same as everyone else?

And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave. Because your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone.

Allie, please, get better. I need you! The way you're hovering between life and death is killing me inside, it really is! Your presence is haunting me, why can't you just get better?

You used to captivate me by your resonating light. But now I'm bound by the life you left behind.

Allie, you were there at a time when I needed you the most. You used to calm me down when I was angry, cheer me up when I was sad, and keep me happy whenever I was. But now that you might be leaving, I can feel your presence wherever I go and it's scaring me!

Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams. Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me.

I can see you in my dreams, Allie. Everywhere I turn when I'm dreaming, I see your face. I try to go after you and follow you, but you somehow manage to hide away from me. I can hear you too. Every time that I hear you in my sleep, it seems to make me go insane, it's like your voice is tearing my mind into pieces, and you don't care that you're doing it.

These wounds won't seem to heal. This pain is just too real. There's just too much that time cannot erase.

No matter what, Allie, you will always be in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about you; no matter how hard I try. I still feel the pain of losing you; it won't go away, no matter how hard I try or how much time has passed.

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone. But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along.

When Mom and Dad told me that you died, I refused to believe it, Allie. I knew they had to be lying. You wouldn't leave me without letting me say goodbye to you one last time. But you did, and you left me. It's like you were never with me now, as if you never existed, even though I can still feel your presence.

When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears. When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears. And I've held your hand through all of these years.

I walked into your hospital room and saw you lying there, Allie. You weren't moving or making a sound at all. I collapsed when I realized what Mom and Dad had told me was true. I couldn't believe it. Once I somehow managed to regain myself, I got on your bed and held you in my arms one last time, still refusing to believe the inevitable truth.

But you still have all of me.

As I sat with you for that last time, I made I promise to you. No matter what happens, what I face, what I do, no matter what, you will always be in my heart. I will never stop loving you, Allie, my brother, my best friend. You will always have all of me.

Live No More

This is a song/poem that I wrote when I got bored. It's based off the Evanescence songs "Breathe No More" and "My Immortal." It's meant to be from the perspective of someone whose lost their love and can't seem to live on without them. Enjoy!

I see you lying on the ground
You're not moving or making a sound
I would give anything to make you come back to me

You might be gone but I'm still here
And I grieve
I grieve
And I live
I live
And I live no more.

You left me here by myself
I'm all alone without you
But I can still feel you here with me

You might be gone but I'm still here
And I grieve
I grieve
And I live
I live
And I live no more

I keep telling myself that you're gone
But it still feels like you're here with me
And now I know that I've been alone all along
I can't keep living without you

You might be gone but I'm still here
And I grieve
I grieve
And I live
I live
And I live
I live
And I live no more

T to the J R to the Igg

This is just a funny song that I wrote based on my good friend Phill's nickname for me. Enjoy!

He's walkin' down the street
Passing through life just like everyone around him
But no one dare mess with him

'Cause he's T to the J R to the Igg
He's kickin' ass and takin' names
Just like his mother before him
T to the J R to the Igg
Kickin' ass and takin' names
Like his mother before him

His friends look to him as the great protector
He fights for them all, asking for nothing in return
He'll fight no matter what for all his friends

'Cause he's T to the J R to the Igg
He's kickin' ass and takin' names
Just like his mother before him
T to the J R to the Igg
Kickin' ass and takin' names
Like his mother before him

You mess with him; he'll wipe up the floor with you
Screw with his family or friends and your hand will forever feel pain when he is done with you
Don't mess with him or his family, you'll regret it

'Cause he's T to the J R to the Igg
He's kickin' ass and takin' names
Just like his mother before him
T to the J R to the Igg
Kickin' ass and takin' names
Like his mother before him

Letter to a Friend

I wrote this from the perspective of someone who had come to care very deeply for a friend of his or hers. This writing is meant to never be sent to the person the writer is writing to. I couldn't come up with a name for the receiver so I simply named them "Friend" Enjoy!

Dear Friend,

I know that it is highly unlikely that you will ever read this. I know that if by chance you do read this, I will be dead. However, even though I know you might never read this, I'm writing to you anyway, on this night.
I want you to know something Friend: You are, without a doubt, one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. You are funny, smart, and easily likable; all of the qualities I look for in a person. When I met you, I immediately noticed that you were the perfect friend for me. My recognizing your personality made me become infatuated with you. It was almost as if I was falling in love with you. But soon I realized that I wasn't in love, but that I loved you as a friend. I still love you as a friend, Friend, I promise you that.
I will always love you as a friend, Friend, no matter what. I promise that I will do anything in my power to keep you safe from harm. I cannot live my life without you in it. If I lost you, my world would fall apart.
Friend, you are my muse. Nothing inspires me the way you do. Thank you for all my missing pieces. Thank you for your strength and friendship. Thank you for letting me see myself through your eyes, because only then could I know that I am good enough for you.
All my love, always.

FanFic: Fall of the Sith - Chapter Five: Duel on the Logos

Chapter five of "Fall of the Sith" Enjoy!

Solin and Vulcan exited Vulcan's personal ship in the hangar of The Logos. Together, they made their way to the throne room area of the ship. The door leading to the throne room opened and they entered into the room. Ahead of them stood a dark set of stairs. Past the stairs sat a figure in the lone chair in the room. They made their way up the stairs and stood at the edge of them at the top as the figure in the chair spun around, it was Tobos.

Tobos stood up and slowly walked toward them. He then laughed and raised his hands. Solin had no warning and no time to defend himself from the attack. The lightning that came from Tobos' hands forced him onto the ground. Solin lay on the ground, convulsing in the pain from the lightning. As he lay trying to fight the attack, he pleaded to Vulcan.

Vulcan, please!” he shouted in between shrieks of pain. “Help me!”

Suddenly, something within Vulcan snapped. It was as if the part of him that was good was rising inside of him and was slowly defeating the monster within. He realized that his best friend was being tortured by the man he thought was supposed to be his inferior, not his equal and his friend, not his enemy. Vulcan then shouted in anger at Tobos.

What are you doing?” he cried. “We never agreed to attack him! We're supposed to turn him back to our side! What the hell are you doing?”

Tobos then stopped shooting the lightning at Solin, who was stirring feebly on the ground at Vulcan's feet. He cackled and then spoke to Vulcan in a calm, yet evil voice.

You fool, Nacluv!” he croaked. “You're too weak to be the Ruler of the Sith anymore! I am now the Ruler of the Sith! Once I'm done with your friend Solin here, you're next!”

Before Vulcan could do anything, Tobos then continued his attack on Solin. Solin continued to shout in pain and was still begging Vulcan to come to his assistance. Vulcan struggled with himself. The part of him that was still a Sith told him to ignore Solin's cries of help while the part of him that was his old self, and was slowly taking over him again, told him that he had to do something or Solin would die. This, he now knew, was the flaw of any fallen Jedi. No matter how much he hated Solin because he was a Jedi, no matter how much he couldn't stand the fact that the Jedi had defeated his army of Sith, he still had strong feelings for Solin. It didn't matter that Vulcan hadn't seen Solin in many years. It didn't matter that Nacluv had taken over him so much that he now despised the Jedi. His best friend was in severe pain and he had to do something about it. Quickly, without giving it much thought, Vulcan suddenly leaped in front of Solin and took the brunt of the lightning attack. He grunted in pain but didn't care because he knew that he was saving his best friend. As quickly as he had jumped in front of Solin, Tobos abruptly stopped his attack and looked at Vulcan in confusion. Vulcan then turned around and helped Solin up. Tobos, realizing that Vulcan was somehow being redeemed, laughed loudly and drew out his blood-red lightsaber. Solin and Vulcan then lit their own lightsabers; Vulcan was using the cyan blue one that Solin had given him when he left the Jedi Order.

Very well, Nacluv,” Tobos cackled. “If you won't let me attack Solin, I will have to kill both of you at the same time!”

The three of them then did battle. Solin and Vulcan together, though stronger than perhaps any Jedi or Dark Jedi in history, did not seem to match up against Tobos. However, even Tobos didn't seem to be gaining an upper hand in the fight. Together, the three masters of the force fought in a battle never before even imaginable. Their attacks and counters moved so quickly it was impossible to see who had struck and who had blocked. They even used force powers against each other so quickly that the majority of the powers proved difficult to block, let alone see. As their lightsabers blurred in motion, Solin realized that had Tobos succeeded in turning him back to the Dark Side, the three of them would have likely been unstoppable, even with Solin's friends' influence over him.

As their fight progressed, Solin began to very slowly wear down from exhaustion. He didn't have much time to recover from the lightning attack which had severly weakened him despite the fact that he used a quick Force Heal to sustain the injury. Tobos eventually sensed that Solin was wearing down and waited for his opportunity to use it to his advantage. After Solin blocked an attack from him, Tobos saw his opening and quickly kicked Solin in the chest, sending him and his lightsaber in separate directions. Tobos laughed in triumph, leapt up, and appeared to fly towards Solin. He was moving so quickly that Solin would not have time to grab his lightsaber to defend himself. Tobos raised his lightsaber and held it in such a way that it would impale Solin in the chest. Solin braced himself for the impact and closed his eyes, waiting for the immense pain that he knew would kill him. After waiting a few seconds, he indeed heard the sound of the lightsaber cutting through flesh, but he felt no pain. Solin opened his eyes and standing before him, with a blood red blade ran through his chest, stood Vulcan, still standing only because the lightsaber was supporting him. Vulcan looked directly in Solin's eyes and Solin realized instantly that Vulcan had been redeemed. Vulcan also appeared to be shocked at what he had done and seemed to wonder why the pain hadn't registered yet. He looked down at the blade and the pain took over him.

It was pain like none he had never felt before. It felt as though something had blown up within him. Like a fire had ignited in his chest and its heat and pain was quickly spreading throughout his body. Without making a noise of pain, Vulcan allowed the lightsaber to be taken out of him and he slumped over, unconscious and barely alive. Solin looked at his friend in shock before screaming his name, not believing what he had seen. Tobos cackled.

Your friend is dead!” he exclaimed gleefully. “Now, nobody will be able to stop me as I kill you!”

But seeing that Vulcan was redeemed seem to act like a stimulant in Solin. Without thinking, he force-pushed Tobos back and called his lightsaber back to him. He ignited his green blade and began attacking Tobos. Tobos was caught off guard and had to act quickly to block all of Solin's attacks. After fighting together for a few moments, Tobos unleashed a powerful force wave that sent Solin flying back to Vulcan's unconscious body. Tobos then laughed and spoke in his darkest and most dangerous voice as red smoke appeared around him.

It is too late, Solin!” he shouted. “I will be the one to continue the legacy of the Sith that my foolish master created! Eventually, we Sith will take over the galaxy and be responsible for the purge of the Jedi! It may take thousands of years, but it will happen!”

With a swishing of his cloak and letting out his trademark laugh again, Tobos disappeared in the red smoke, he had Force Apparated. Solin deactivated his lightsaber and knelt down beside the unconscious Vulcan, whose breathing had become raspy. He picked up Vulcan and laid his head on one of his knees and tried despearately to awaken him.

Vulcan,” he said in a shaky voice, slapping Vulcan's face. “Vulcan, please! Wake up!”

Vulcan slowly regained conscious. He looked around in confusion and realized that Tobos was no longer in the room with them.

Where is Tobos?” he asked weakly.

Gone. He Force Apparated out of here.”

Vulcan laughed quietly. “Coward, I always had a funny feeling about him. Now Solin, I want to thank you.”

For what?” Solin asked, tearing up.

For saving me from the Dark Side. Despite everything that I did to you as a Sith, you still took it upon yourself to try and save me.”

There's a good reason for that.”

And what is that?”

You're my brother, Vulcan. Sabe' told me that they took us away together as infants from our parents and they kept the secret of our relationship hidden from us. I don't know why they did it, but I hate that they did.”

They may have seen what I was going to become. I regret all of that now.” Vulcan then looked up and saw that Solin was still wearing the necklace that he had given him shortly before leaving the Jedi Order. He laughed softly. “You still have the necklace.”

Of course. I kept it because I never truly gave up on our friendship. I wanted to keep it so I would never forget the relationship you and I have.”

You know, even though I hated you as a Sith, I never gave up on our friendship either.” Vulcan's breathing suddenly slowed down and he now had difficulty speaking. “Solin....you and I will.....always be friends.....no matter what......Always.” With that, Vulcan exhaled his final breath and became One with the Force. Solin felt Vulcan's life leave his body but refused to believe it. He cradled Vulcan's body in his arms and began sobbing. Solin remained that way for some time before realizing that The Logos was shaking violently. He looked around and found the source of the disturbance – Tobos had somehow, from afar, activated the self-destruct on the ship in an last ditch attempt to kill him.

Without hesitating, he used the Force to lift Vulcan's body from the ground and guided it back to Vulcan's personal ship. Once he was certain that Vulcan's body was secure in on a bed in the flagship, Solin fired up the engines of the ship. He successfully navigated the ship out of the hangar of The Logos. By the time he had gotten far enough away from The Logos to avoid damage, the ship exploded in a large fireball behind him, larger even than the one that had destroyed The Millenium. Solin then used the force to create an allusion for Tobos, making it appear as though he and Vulcan had both perished in the explosion of The Millenium. After sensing that Tobos had seen his allusion, Solin turned the ship and around and piloted it down to the surface of Rakata Prime, landed it on the beach closest to Kento's headquarters and made his way back to the rest of his party.

He told them all that had happened aboard The Millenium. When Solin revealed that Vulcan had been killed, Sabe' interrupted him.
I'm sorry, Solin, I know that you and he were as close as two Jedi could be,” he said solemnly. “I think that Vulcan should be given a Jedi's funeral, seeing as he was redeemed before he died.”

Hear, hear,” Keira interjected. “He will be layed to rest in the gardens of the Temple that is being rebuilt right now. We shall take him to Coruscant with us and will send word to the rest of the Order spread throughout the Galaxy of the defeat of the Sith and the Separtists.”

It was agreed that Solin would follow the rest of the party back to Coruscant, alone with Vulcan's body, on Vulcan's personal ship. The following day, both ship's engines fired up early in the morning. They then flew towards space and once deep enough, activated their hyperdrives, making their way back to Coruscant...

FanFic: Fall of the Sith - Chapter Four: Battle of Rakata Prime

Chapter four of "Fall of the Sith" Enjoy!

The morning after Solin left the planet to go after Vulcan, the rest of his party awoke early and met with Kento to discuss their plans for storming the temple where the Sith and the Separtists were. They would split into three groups: Sabe', Elocin, Ngema, and Kento would lead one group in the initial attack on the temple while Y'not and Bazila would lead a second wave in and Keira would use her battle meditation from afar and once the temple had been successfully breached, would lead a third battalion into the temple. From there, they would fight their way into the temple. Once they had taken out the majority of the separtists, they would disguise themselves as Separtists and convince the leaders that they had caused the Jedi and civilians to flee and have the leaders come out to investigate the ruins of the battle and would surrond them, forcing them to surrender.

Once the plans were in motion, Keira sat down on the throne chair of Kento and began meditating. The first wave of the battalion then made their way to the temple. Once they got there, hundreds of thousands of Dark Jedi and Separtists fighters exited the temple and met the group at the entrance. The two groups of armies stood there, simply looking at each other for a few moments before someone on the Separtist side yelled “CHARGE!” and both armies then stormed toward each other. Thanks to Keira's battle meditation, the Separtists had difficulties successfully attacking the Jedi and civilians; likewise, the Jedi and civilians were easily taking out waves of the Separtists, including the small amount of Sith that hadn't been on The Millenium when it was destroyed.

As the battle unfolded, Keira watched it happen from afar in Kento's throne. Once she was satisfied that the first wave had enough of the Separtists under control for a second wave to begin storming the temple, she ordered Y'not and Bazila to lead their troops. The second wave marched toward the temple. When they got to the temple, the first wave of troops had already cut through half of the Separtist army. Once the second wave reached the temple, their assault on the temple tripled in intensity. The Sith and the Separtists seemed overwhelmed by the intensity of the attack. Combined with the efforts of the army fighting them and Keira's battle meditation, the Separtists barely stood a chance against the storming army. Soon, and much quicker than any of them suspected, they had breached the temple doors and were soon fighting waves of Sith and soldiers in the entrance. As soon as she saw they had breached the temple doors, Keira leapt up, lightsaber igniting, and shouted for her troops to follow her to the temple.

By the time Keira and her troops reached the temple, barely a hundred Separtist soldiers remained; all of the Sith were dead. After fighting the Separtists valiantly, the Jedi and Rakata Prime civilians successfully managed to wipe out the entire army of Separtists. Once the other army was defeated, the majority of the civilians retreated back to their headquarters while the Jedi, Kento, and Kento's personal entourage of guards remained at the entrance. One of the guards dressed themselves up as a Separtist and used a comlink left on one of the bodies to contact the leaders of the Separtists, who were held up inside deep within the Temple.

It's over, Commander,” he said to Commander Nute' in the comlink. “The Jedi and civilians have retreated into the woods and are heading back to their headquarters. We need you to come out here and give the rest of the army orders.”

We'll be right out,” Nute' replied excitedly.

They are coming,” the guard said to Kento.

Good,” Sabe' said. “Now, I need to make us all invisible to cause confusion when they get out here. They will expect to see their army out here. Once they are out here and the doors behind them have shut, we will reveal ourselves.”

With a wave of his hand, Sabe' quickly made all of the Jedi, Kento, and the guards invisible. After waiting for a few moments, the doors to the temple opened and Commander Nute' lead the leaders of the Separtists out to the field right outside the temple. The leaders of the Separtists included Senators of the Planets that had joined them, the Malastare High Unit Group, the general's of each planet's army, Commander Nute's lieutenant who had served with him ever since the conflict began, and Nute' himself. The group ran into the seemingly empty field before glancing around, looking for signs of their army. As they were looking around, the doors to the temple closed and with a snap of his fingers, Sabe' made the Jedi, Kento, and Kento's guards visible once again. Quick as a flash, thirty blaster rifles raised, pointed at each member of the Separtists, and six lightsabers ignited.

What the hell is going on here?” demanded Nute'.

Kento laughed and stepped forward, his own blaster aimed right at Nute's heart.

We, the citizens and Rakata Prime and the Jedi have wiped out the Sith, our most hated enemy, and we are capturing you Separtists because of your involvement with the Sith,” he said, laughing still.

Not only that, but you have all betrayed the principals of the Republic and will stand trial before the Senate for treason and conspiracy,” Keira added.

Realizing they were outnumbered and had six armed Jedi standing around them, prepared to fight them, the leaders of the Separtists reluctantly took out each of their weapons and dropped them at their feet and stood in defiance as Sabe' walked up to each of them and bound them up in ropes. They were then escorted to Kento's personal flagship to be taken to Coruscant by Kento himself to await their trial before the Senate. While there, Kento would also ask that Rakata Prime be allowed to join the Republic again and would bring along several candidates for the position of Senator. The Jedi, meanwhile, went back to Kento's headquarters. When they reached the headquarters, Keira spoke to them.

I sense that Vulcan has taken Solin into his custody,” she explained. “I know that Solin won't be tempted by them now that he knows the truth about his and Vulcan's relationship. I sense that he will return here to us once he has done what he has to do.”

With that, the group then sat on the ground of Kento's throne, meditating. They remained that way for some time, anxiously awaiting Solin's return....

FanFic: Fall of the Sith - Chapter Three: On the Sith's Trail

Chapter three of part three of my StarWars FanFic. Enjoy!

Once he was assured that Mobbs would not be able to escape from the prison where he was being held to await trial, Solin made his to the medical facility where the rest of his party was, getting treatments for their injuries sustained while fighting Mobbs. He got to the facility and found the room where everyone else was being treated. His former master, Sabe', was on the bed getting his severed hand replaced by a cybernetic one when Solin entered the room. Everyone else looked healed and ready to go at a moment's notice. When they saw him enter the room, Sabe' spoke.

“Good work, Solin,” he said. “Now, we need to know: where can we get to Vulcan and the rest of the Sith?”

“The headquarters of the Sith is hidden on the planet of Rakata Prime,” Solin replied. “They are held up there in a private area blocked off to the citizens of the planet. The civilians are angry with them and will likely want to fight against the Sith.”

“That gives us an advantage,” Sabe' said before wincing a bit in pain. The medical droid attending to him was poking him in the hand to test how sensitive his new hand was. After the droid was satisfied with the results of his test, Sabe' was let off of the bed. The group then made their way to their ship, but not before stopping at Solin's quarters at the near destroyed Jedi Temple.

“What are we doing here?” Keira asked.

“I need to get out these Sith robes,” Solin repliled. “If we are to enlist the help of the civilians, it would be better if I was not wearing the robes of their most hated enemy.”

Solin quickly changed out of his Sith robes into the black robes of the Jedi, an indication that the Dark Side that was once in him had gone. The party then went back to the Senate hangar and boarded their ship. The pilots quickly got to the cockpit and fired the engines up while the rest of them each made their way to their private quarters except for Solin who chose to remain in the meeting room meditating. Once they arrived on the planet of Rakata Prime, they all met back up in the meeting room, with Bazila and Y'not using the force to listen in on the plan.

“It is possible that we will be captured as soon as we land on the planet,” Solin explained. “They aren't taking any chances with any visitors to the planet and could possibly recognize me as a Sith since I was here before as one of them. However, I think I will be able to convince them otherwise.”

The pilots then landed the ship and the group disembarked onto the beach they had landed on. They barely had time to appreciate the beauty of the planet, the warm temperature, the ocean they had landed next to, the cool breeze, before they were quickly surrounded as Solin had predicted by a group of civiliams of the planet, a mixture of humans and native aliens.

“Halt,” barked one of the humans, aiming his blaster at Solin. “You are an unannounced visitor to the this planet as and such, you will be taken before our chief Elder, Kento Starkiller to await your fate. Come with us.”

The party was escorted into the chambers of the chief. Once they had all assembled in front of the throne-like chair upon which Kento Starkiller, a human male, sat, Starkiller spoke to them, in particular to Solin.
“Malice, you slime!” he exclaimed. “You dare return to this planet with members of your filthy clan of Sith?”
“No, Kento, I haven't returned to this planet with the Sith,” Solin replied calmly. “I have been redeemed and I am a Jedi once again. These are some of my most trusted companions in the Jedi Order.”

“Then explain why you still wear the robes of the Sith,” Starkiller snarled, eyeing the robes Solin was wearing.

“These are not the robes of the Sith; they are the robes of the Jedi, in particular, the robes of a Jedi that has been redeemed from the Dark Side of the Force. I wear them to show the truth in what they represent in my case,” Solin explained. “The Sith are an abomination. I absolutely despise the Sith and I have plans to destroy them. I returned to this planet not only with intentions to destroy the Sith with my friends here, I have come to ask you to help us in our fight. Help us defeat them, your most hated enemies and you can return to the normal life on this planet. You will also be allowed to have free reign of this planet so long as there is a Senator in the Republic representing you. All we ask is for your help and you will all have your old lives back, the lives you all lead before the Sith came here and overtook the planet.”

Kento considered this for a moment. Chatter amongst those in the room they were members of his guard and citizens of the planet broke out. Kento then raised his hand for silence before speaking to Solin again.

“Solin Malice, you have come to us redeemed, no longer a member of the Sith,” he said. “You have asked us for help in destroying our mortal enemies. I recongnize the truth in your words, I believe you have been redeemed and you do plan to destroy the Sith, no matter what it takes. Because of that, I am prepared to have my men join forces with you and together, we, the citizens of Rakata Prime, and you, the Jedi, will destroy the Sith once and for all!”

Solin smiled in triumph as the room burst out in applause. The Jedi were then let out of the ropes binding them and were each returned their lightsabers. As the citizens celebrated, Solin and the rest of his group met privately with Starkiller to discuss plans for the pending battle against the Sith and the Separtists.

Unbeknowest to the Jedi on the planet below, a large carrier ship carrying only two individuals, both of them Sith, was floating in space above the planet. The ship was being controlled by the force powers of the two men aboard the ship. Inside a large area of the ship, a place big enough to hold an entire army, Vulcan Gunner, a former Jedi who founded the Sith, and Lord Tobos, the new second in command to Vulcan stood together discussing a plan of their own.

“My lord, I sense that Malice is down there on the planet with the rest of the Jedi who survived the assualt on the Temple,” Tobos said.

“I agree,” Vulcan replied. “However, we won't be able to take him for our own if he is surronded by his little group of friends.”

“I have an idea,” Tobos said. “I sense that he will surrender himself to Nute' down there in order to come here himself. I believe you should go down there and bring him here yourself. His compassion for you will be his undoing. He will come to you and then you will bring him here, where we will turn him back to our side.”
“Very well then, Tobos, I will leave here at once and return when I have him. You better pray this works or you will suffer my....displeasure,” Vulcan replied, leaving the throne room.

Back on Rakata Prime, the plan was set in motion for the defeat of the Sith and the Separtists. The group would set out early the next morning and lead the attack on the Temple of the Sith, where the enemy was housed. As the Jedi and Starkiller joined in on the celebration of their union, Solin suddenly left the group and headed outside. Sabe' saw him leave and followed him outside. He quickly caught up with Solin and walked up to him.

“Solin, what is it?” Sabe' asked when he reached him. Solin turned around and spoke to his former master.

“It's Vulcan, I can sense that he is nearby,” he replied. “He's coming for me and he wants to take me away to try and turn me back to the Dark Side. I fear that he will have a lot of influence over me. I have to go after him.”

“Why?”

“I can feel the good in him; the Dark Side of the Force hasn't driven it out of him fully. I have to save him, he's my best friend.

“Even after all of these years, you still have strong feelings toward him?” Solin nodded. “Well, there is good reason that you still feel close to him despite the history between the two of you. Solin, he is your brother.”

“What?” Solin exclaimed, clearly shocked at this revelation.

“Yes, you and he are twins. Both of you were taken away from your parents at the same time to join the Order. We felt it better not to tell you that you two are family and I personally greatly encouraged your friendship because I felt it was wrong to sepearate the both of you. If you plan on going to Vulcan, I think you deserve to know the truth before you go after him. Good luck, Solin. Get your brother back.”

Sabe' then left and returned to the throne room. Solin then remained alone for a few minutes, try to comprehend what Sabe' had just revealed to him. How could Vulcan be his brother and the Jedi not tell him? Did they suspect, even then, what was going to become of Vulcan and they wanted to protect one of them from that fate? As he was thinking, Keira approached him from behind.

Hey, what's going on?” she asked cheerily, not knowing the inner turmoil Solin was feeling.

It's Vulcan,” Solin replied. Keira's expression changed instantly, she now looked both worried and concerned. “He's here, now on this planet.”

How do you know?” Keira asked in a shaky voice.

I felt his prescence. He's come for me. He can feel that I'm here. That's why I have to go, as long as I stay here, I endanger the group and our mission here. I have to face him.”

Why?”

Solin sighed before replying. “He's my brother.”

Keira looked shocked at this news and seemed lost for words. When she regained use of her voice, she spoke again.

Your brother?” she asked

Yes. I must go after him and convince him to go, I can feel the good in him and I want to turn him back to our side.”

I understand, but Solin, be careful!”

I will, Keira, you know I always am.”

With that, Solin turned around and walked away from Keira, his heart intent on redeeming his best friend, who he now knew and accepted was his brother.

Vulcan stood waiting in a room connected to the hangar the Sith used on Rakata Prime. He had heard from Commander Nute' that a Jedi had surrendered to them and that he was brining the Jedi to him. After waiting for some time, the doors opened and Nute' led a small group of Malastarian guards who were surronding the Jedi entered the room. All but two of the guards then left the room and Vulcan got a close up view of the Jedi that was captured, it was Solin.

This is the Jedi that surreneded to us, Lord Nacluv,” Nute' explained. “Although he denies it, I believe there may be more of them and request a further search of the area. He was armed only with this,” he finished, producing Solin's lightsaber and handing it to Vulcan who took it.

Good work Commander. Leave us. Conduct your search and bring his companions to me.”

Yes, my Lord.”

With that, Commander Nute' and the guards left the room, leaving Vulcan and Solin alone. Vulcan handed Solin his lightsaber, who took it and put it back on its hilt on his belt. The two then slowly walked back to the hangar where a small personal ship was waiting for them.

Lord Tobos and I have been expecting you,” Vulcan said.

I know, Vulcan. I also know that there is still good in you, the Dark Side hasn't driven it away from you fully.”

What do you mean?” Vulcan asked, sounding confused.

I can feel the good that is still in you. You don't really want to take me to Tobos but you feel that you have no choice but to take me to him in order to prove that you are prepared to turn me back to the Dark Side. I can feel the conflict within you, Vulcan. Let go of your hate.”

Vulcan considered this for a moment before going replying. “It is too late for me, Solin,” he said somberly. “I'm going to take you to The Logos, our Sith ship and Tobos will do what he will do. I however, have no intention of turning you back to the Dark Side.”

Why is that?”

I know it will be a useless move. Your Jedi friends have far more influence over you then I do. If I was to turn you, they would just as quickly turn you back to their side. I cannot turn you to the Dark Side as Tobos wants you to. That is why I am here, I'm taking you to him to prove that it would be futile to turn you. I fear however that he will kill you and I can do nothing about that.”

We will see,” Solin replied shortly.

Together, they made their way to Vulcan's personal ship that would take them to Tobos awaiting their arrival aboard The Logos...
